Glenn Carano, General Manager of Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno, was appointed to the Bowlers to Veterans’ Link Board of Directors in November 2015. The announcement was made today by BVL Board Chair John LaSpina.

“We are delighted that Glenn has agreed to join the BVL Board as we work together to help strengthen our mission to brighten the days of America’s hospitalized veterans and active duty troops,” noted LaSpina. “Glenn brings his vast marketing expertise to our efforts which will greatly enrich our strategic plans to meet the needs of America’s heroes.”

Prior to his current position, Glenn was Director of Marketing at the Silver Legacy. Previously, Glenn worked at the Eldorado from 1985 to 1995.

Glenn has wide ranging Board experience, serving as a member of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and Chairman of the Marketing Committee. Glenn has also been a Board Member with the Reno Airport Authority for eight years and served six years as Commissioner with the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Football fans will remember Glenn as a second round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys who backed-up Roger Staubach and Danny White as quarterback from 1977 to 1983. Glenn attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a football scholarship.

Glenn was voted into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame for not only his time as a professional athlete, but for his accomplishments in community service and dedication to businesses across Nevada.
