| Jack breathed Marines. The Marines were Number One and family was Number Two. Even after retiring from the Marines, he still held them as Number One.
from Koffee Klatchers League:
Jack loved the Marines and was extremely proud of them. He was a devoted and dedicated officer. He and his family moved all over stateside and overseas for most of his career. He was medically discharged after suffering a stroke, which left him paralyzed and only partially able to speak. After the stroke, he loved watching Notre Dame games on TV. He was a dear sweet man and loved by all. He passed away on May 23, 2004, and we felt he would be extremely proud to be recognized this way.
